I have over fifteen years of experience in the counseling field. I love my work because I love seeing people grow, and being of service in that process.
My work is influenced by trainings in the Hakomi method, mindfulness in psychotherapy, attachment studies, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and narrative therapy.
I have worked in agencies in the Bay Area and Colorado Springs, Colorado with issues of substance abuse and addiction treatment; with domestic violence victims and perpetrators; in public schools; and with university students. I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) and the San Francisco chapter of CAMFT.
I studied sociology with concentrations in human consciousness and feminist studies as an undergraduate at Colorado College in the early 1980s. I received my MA in Counseling Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in1999.
